Day 438

Its Day 438 at my current job! Man how time flies! How does one arrive at the number 438? It is adimtedly a very rough estimate that was formed as follws. There are 618 days between now and August 3, 2009 (my Fort Sumter day). That's about 21 months, so we'll say 164 weekend days that I didn't work (although I did work three of those!). That takes us to 453 days of fun! From there I subtracted 15 days. The number 15 was a combination of holidays and days taken off since August 3, 2009. This was quite the revalation I came to the other day and just wanted to share it with you guys.

Heres to the next 438! Or better? 4,380!?!? Who knows. Intertia is a strong force friends.

  5. @ FW/4: I think we are splitting hairs here friend. We are different by about 5 days, and mine was meant to be an estimate.

  6. let the record show, that like the crooks at Enron BM has been cooking the books.

as the original comment demonstrates, BM originally estimated he had worked 561/571 days. a shocking and grossly innacurate estimate. but an honest mistake. BM has used some fancy editing skills to cover up his errors.

let us hope that, here at Things, and more broadly, out in the world, each of us has the integrity and pride to stand by our actions, admit our mistakes, and move forward with honesty and respect. a failure to do these thing has led to, among other things, president george w. bush lying, causing people to be dying.

  7. wow, what an awesome and enlightening post/follow-up conversation between Blogmaster and Flastad. The masses are riveted.

In addition, it seems that Blogmaster has a pretty balling job where he is constantly busy and making money or else he wouldn't have time to make calculations on how many days he has wo . . . oh wait!!! My bad!
